Share of Model
Share of Model is the AI-era share of voice: how often a brand appears in, or is recommended by, the outputs of AI models.

Updated July 2026.
Share of Model is the AI-era analog of share of voice: how often a brand appears in, or is recommended by, the outputs of large language models when users ask buying-related questions. It measures presence inside the model’s answers rather than on a search results page.
Why does it matter now?
As buyers move research into AI chatbots, the set of brands a model names becomes a demand-shaping surface. Citation share is measurable but volatile: one index put Reddit as the single most-cited domain in AI answers, at roughly 40% aggregate share (5W Index, 2026 — treat as volatile). Any share-of-model figure should be read as directional and time-stamped.
How is it influenced?
Through the same work as generative engine optimization: clear, citable, well-structured content that models can quote, plus presence on the sources those models draw from.
The Ad Spend
Share of Model is most useful when the team can connect the definition to what actually changed in the account. The Ad Spend keeps account changes, performance movement, and decision context in one reviewable record, so paid-media decisions remain explainable after the dashboard changes. See Product overview.
